Summer and margaritas go connected at the hip. Once in a while, Matt and I want to have chips, salsa, guacamole and margaritas for supper. Basic, simple and the kitchen doesn't need to be warmed up with the broiler or stove being turned on. This thin margarita formula is so basic and best of all, you can tweak it to anyway you like it. I was exploring different avenues regarding some unique margarita formulas half a month prior and when Matt attempted to discover agave at the store, they didn't have it. In this way, I utilized what we had available and Matt cherished the result so I figured I would share it here.
It turns out without fail. The Sprite Zero adds a sweet side to the poignancy of the lime juice without including calories.
I adore everything citrus so I will add lemon juice to the blend next time we make these and play with that blend a few.
This thin margarita is an invigorating end to any bustling day. It is an extraordinary beverage to serve at your late spring bbq. Just squeeze all the natural product before everybody gets to the gathering and you can make them each one in turn as individuals need them or make a major pitcher of the margaritas to make it considerably simpler.

Ingredients For This Skinny Margarita:
- Limes
- Oranges
- Tequila
- Sprite Zero
- Ice
- Margarita Salt
Now, as far as the directions, it will depend on how you like your skinny margarita. I don’t have an exact measurement (like I do most of my cooking), but I just juice at least 2-3 limes and a half to 3/4 of an orange into a glass. You can add more orange if you want more or use less lime juice if you don’t like it too tart. Then, I prep the glass we will drink out of by rubbing a slice of lime around the rim of the glass and dipping it in margarita salt (skip this step if you don’t like the salt). Then, I fill the glass with ice. I pour the orange and lime mixture into the glass and add as much tequila as we like and top the rest of it with Sprite Zero. That’s it!
