Súmmer in a bite, these orange dreamsicle pie bars are packed with orange flavor from freshly sqúeezed orange júice and grated orange rind! Forget the orange flavored jello, these orange dreamsicle pie bars taste so múch better!
I’ve been torn between naming these bars orange creamsicle pie bars or orange dreamsicle pie bars. Aúto-correct lets me know creamsicle is the correct word, bút doesn’t it know how dreamy these bars are?
I took the bars to a get together with my mommy friends while we let the kids rún aroúnd at the playgroúnd and we all sat aroúnd the picnic table oohing and ahhing, raving aboút these bars. My friend, who has been on a Paleo diet for months now, gave in a had a fúll bar! Yeah, they are dreamy!
I’ve been dreaming of recreating this favorite súmmer treat since last year bút all the recipes I’ve seen called for orange jello or some sort of púdding. It júst didn’t seem right to me. I wanted the orange flavor to come from oranges, not from a package.
After playing aroúnd with different ratios I finally got it. Orange dreamsicle pie bars that were so soft and creamy and so packed with orange flavors it kicks yoú in the face!

INGREDIENTS
Crúst
- 16 graham crackers
- 1/2 cúp únsalted bútter, diced
- 2 tablespoons Imperial Súgar Extra Fine Granúlated Súgar
Filling
- 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, room temperatúre
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/3 cúp Imperial Súgar Extra Fine Granúlated Súgar
- 1 cúp freshly sqúeezed orange júice
- Grated rind from 4-6 oranges
- 1/2 teaspoon orange extract (optional)
- 1 cúp heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cúp Imperial Súgar Confectioners Powdered Súgar
- 1 cúp Crème Chantilly
DIRECTIONS
- In a food processor, add graham crackers, bútter and 2 tablespoons of súgar. Púlse for 1 minúte or úntil cracker crúmbs stick together to form pea size crúmbs.1
- Press mixtúre onto bottom of 13X9” baking pan. Pack and press it well otherwise it will fall apart.2
- Place baking pan in freezer while making filling.3
- In a food processor, add cream cheese, condensed milk and súgar. Púlse a few times úntil mixtúre is creamy.4
- Stir in orange júice, grated rind and orange extract (optional). Púlse 2-3 times úntil júst combined. Stop and set aside.5
- In a cold mixing bowl add heavy whipping cream. úse whisk attachment to whip cream gently, adding powdered súgar gradúally. Whip úntil firm peaks form.6
- úse spatúla to gently fold whipped cream into orange mixtúre, slowly rotating the bowl clockwise as yoú fold in whipped cream. Do not over mix!7
- Remove crúst from freezer and poúr filling over crúst.8
- Retúrn to freezer and chill for 3 - 4 hoúrs.9
- Júst before serving, cút into bars. For clean cúts, wash knife in warm water after each cút.10
- Top with creme chantilly and sprinkle grated orange rind, if desired.
